When fairytales come to life, does it still ends with H.E.A.?

Long long ago, there lived a prince who was engaged to a lovely princess. The princess deeply loved this prince eventhough he was only average-looking, not very wealthy, smart nor famous. On the other hand, the feelings this prince once felt for the princess has long withered and died. The prince had more than once attempted to break the engagement but stayed on when he saw that the princess was devastated.

The prince ventured into neighbouring lands and everyone he newly met assumed he was single as he said so. A pleasant girl working with the prince in the neighbouring land grew to love him more and more as days goes by. This prince in turn showed signs of affection for this pleasant girl. This never failed to make the girl's heart race.

Eventually when the girl got to know about the prince's engagement to the princess, it was all too late. Feelings, like spilled water, wasn't retrievable. Neither did she wanted to end it all.

After a long and tiring struggle, the prince managed to break the engagement and ended up in a relationship with the plesant girl. To the pleasant girl, the sun is finally shining through. But deep in the corner of her heart, she feared that one day the prince will likewise leave her for a newfound love. Pushing all negative thoughts aside, her love for the prince gave her strength to carry on.

The prince's showed love in a way that was barely visible. The pleasant girl, who grew up in an environment where everyone voiced out their emotions to their closest, felt very hard to be sure the prince really loved her.

The girl felt that she's been giving but not receiving, that it was unrequited love. Months flew and the ill omen persisted. She asked the prince about whether he loves her and though the answer was not conclusive, it did not make her feel any better. It did not helped that her peers and her closest buddies did not have faith in her r/s with the prince. Neither did any of the people from the prince's court were in favour of this reationship. She was torned.

She had integrated her entire being into the prince's life. Everything she had and held revolves solely around him. He was her world. And with the sickening nudging feeling that she means nothing more than a friend to him, she couldn't decide what to do. Every inch of her did not want to leave the love of her life, but she sometimes question how long she would be able to hang on.

In fabletales, everything ends with a Happily Ever After.
I wish a fairytale ending for you too my dear..
